How do I get the app?

The app is available for download from your phone or tablet in the App Store and Google Play store. A download link is also available in your confirmation email.

Will there be updates to the app?

Yes. Please make sure you download the latest version of the app when it becomes available.

What is a widget? How do I get it?

A widget is a simple extension of an app.  In this case, your battery information can be easily viewed without having to open the app. However, the app must be installed for the widget to work.

To get the widget on an Apple device:

Swipe to the right from your Home or Lock screen, or pull down the Notification Center, to view your widgets.

Scroll down to the bottom of your widget list.

Tap Edit.

Scroll down to find the Inogen® Battery Widget.

Tap the green + button.

Tap Done.

To get the widget on an Android device:

Long press  (touch and hold your finger down) on any open spot on one of your Home screen pages.  This will bring up a list of options.

Touch Widgets from the list of choices.

Scroll through your list of installed widgets and select the widget you want to add to your Home screen.

How do I turn Bluetooth on and off on my phone/tablet?

Please access your phone/tablet settings to turn on Bluetooth.

How do I turn Bluetooth on and off on my device?

To turn Bluetooth on and off:

Turn off your device and connect to external power.

Press and hold the minus (-) button to toggle the Inogen® Bluetooth On and Off.

Why is my Wi-Fi off? How do I turn it on?

The Wi-fi is turned off on your phone/tablet.  Please access your phone/tablet settings to turn on Wi-Fi.

Why isn’t my concentrator connecting?

Bluetooth will not work if the concentrator is turned off and only connected to battery power. Your concentrator must be turned on when battery powered or connected to external power.  Your phone/tablet also needs to be near the concentrator.  If you continue to have connection issues, close the app completely and reopen.

What is Error Recall?

Error Recall shows the most recent error message that was displayed on the concentrator.

What is the time shown under Error Recall?

This is the amount of time the concentrator has spent operating since the error occurred.

What does Column Life mean?

Column life is calculated based on performance and usage. The concentrator must be warmed up and breathed on for accuracy. An error will appear when the Column Life is too low.

What does Column Reset do?

Column Reset adjusts the device software for optimal performance with new columns. Only Reset when instructed after replacing columns.

What is O2 Concentration?

This is the purity of oxygen produced by the concentrator. The concentrator must be warmed up and breathed on for accuracy.  An error will appear when the O2 concentration is low.

What is Hours Used?

This is the total number of hours the concentrator has been used in the last 24 hours.

What does Data Transfer do? Where does the data go?

The concentrator stores technical data in the form of a data log. This information is sent to Inogen® when a Data Transfer is performed to help monitor concentrator performance.

What happens when I update my software?

Inogen® will periodically make improvements to the concentrator software.  Updating your Inogen® software will update your concentrator to the latest version.

Why did the Software Update fail?

You likely have a poor internet connection if the Software Update failed. Move to an area with better service or connect to Wi-Fi.

What happens if I disconnect my concentrator?

The phone/tablet and concentrator will no longer be linked.  You will need to re-establish the connection to use the app.  If you no longer plan to use the app, turn Bluetooth off on the concentrator.

To turn off Bluetooth:

Turn off your device and connect to external power.

Press and hold the minus (-) button to toggle the Inogen® Bluetooth On and Off.

Can multiple phone/tablets connect to my concentrator at once?

Once a connection is established with the app on your phone/tablet, no other device can connect to the concentrator.  If the concentrator is disconnected from the app, another device can connect if Bluetooth is not turned off on the Inogen®.

Why did the Data Transfer fail?

You likely have a poor internet connection if the Data Transfer failed. Move to an area with better service or connect to Wi-Fi.

Do I need to disconnect my device or turn off Bluetooth when on an airplane?

No, you don’t need to disconnect or turn off Bluetooth. Short range Bluetooth accessories are allowed on airplanes per FAA guidelines.

Will running Bluetooth or connecting to the app affect my concentrator battery run time?

You should see little to no impact in battery run time.

Will running Bluetooth or connecting to the app affect my data usage?

You should see little impact in data usage. Wi-Fi or data usage is only required for Software Updates and Data Transfers.

Can I connect other Inogen systems to my app?

The Bluetooth compatible Inogen One G4®, Inogen One G5® and Inogen® Rove 6 can connect to the app.
